Saturday - Homeward bound

7.30am on Saturday came too soon, and time to say farewell to the Southern Softies who all got up early to see us off. They left at 8.30am and both transfers ran into thick fog as we all left the mountains behind. The fog seemed to have little effect on the speed our drivers drove at - obviously they have eyes that can see through the thickest fog.

Both flights got away close to expected time, much to the relief of the Northern lot who saw on the airport flight board that the Birmingham Flybe flight diverted to Turin a few minutes before they read that the Flybe Manchester flight had landed in Milan.

Manchester flight arrived on time, despite a bumpy approach. Kay suggested the pilot needed a refresher course on landing. Speedy delivery of bags meant that 50 minutes after landing we were back at Jason's and on our way back to Wales.

What a splendid week - great company, wonderful weather and super snow. I have never skied so much. We must do this again
