Grumps-Wednesday and Thursday

Wonderful blue skies on both days, hardly any wind and gorgeous snow. On Wednesday we all went toValtourneche or Valtourettes as Joey calls it. Most of us skied over but all met up at Willys bar above Valtourneche for great lunch - cheapest this week enjoyed in bright sun in deep blue skies. Partyleader lost 2 of his charges for an hour or so, but after some recriminations all of us reconviened for a enjoyable afternoon skiing, including Steve joiningfor first timeto board back home to Cervinia.

Thursday arrived agian under lovely sunny skies and no wind. Party split up with Me. Lucy, Joey, Tim and Jason off to Zermatt. Dave had a 3 hour lesson, (critised for skiing out of control)Helen and Mike went snowshoeing, the rest generally chilling locally. Alan gave Claire some help with her skiing. Jason's day ended abrupted when his boot wires broke and and to walk uphill at 10000 feet to gondola to get home. Swiss side skiing and scenery was awesome. Lucy decided that she must climb the Matterhorn. Most of others revisit Valtourettes. Once again a great evening meal- retired bloated
