Grumps Speaks

Saturday 24 January. After a great curry at Shere Khan on Friday evening Departure Day started at 4am. Taxi arrives after mysteriously being sent to a postcode in Sale. Check in was slick but the checking in of skis by fellow passengers was hard to take. Good flight arriving on time and a incident free transfer meant we arrived in Cervinia early pm. Lots of snow. Sadly skis being carried by the Southern softies failed to arrive at Turin-promised for Sunday am, so we have hired, rather than miss valuable ski time... Still sun promised tomorrow. Cant wait.

First impression is Hotel Mignon is superb, and the family who run it so obliging. As the Boss as Christinia calls me, she offered us 2 rooms.We chose the biggest -partyleader perk. (1st time we've had one of them) The boys and girls all seem impressed with rooms and ambience.. Off to dinner with everyone wearing Snowidea 2009 black tee-shirts. Woolly's logo is a hoot but too rude to publish the details
